Identify your Potential Customer Persona:
This is a step that most people skip.. and it really hurts them and their business. As I mentioned earlier, most people don’t even know what customer segment they are targeting and what the results will be.
This is a HUGE mistake. Why?
Because unless your website is having authority like of Forbes, you will not get sales without knowing which customer segment will buy the products or services you are offering.
Identifying your potential customer’s persona is the first and most important step in the keyword research and analysis process.
You have to find out where your target traffic hangs out… What they search when they are not searching for the keyword you are trying to rank… What they do in the rest of their 99.9% of the time they spend on the internet… You have to realize that… Your customer spends 99.9% of their time online NOT searching for what you sell.
In other words, If you only target your customers when they search the exact thing you sell, you’re missing out on HUNDREDS of other opportunities to get in front of them.
Now: Let’s say your targeted customer is X…
For example: If you run an online gadget shop, you might say, “My customer is someone who wants to buy the latest gadgets and technology related products”.
That was easy.. right? Now you have to find topics in which X would be interested in. And this leads to our next step of the blueprint
Find Customer Topics:
So, now the question is: How do you find those topics? It’s very simple. Go to where your target customers hang out online. Then look for topics that they tend to discuss.
You can find your target customers on various forums or sites like: Pinterest, reddit, Youtube and Blogs. Once you’ve identified where your target customers hang out, it’s time to keep an eye out for the topics that are important to them.
Keep digging for topics until you find out at least five relevant topics in which your target customers would be interested in. Now that you have at least five topics, it’s time to start finding keywords.
Keywords Idea Generation:
Here are five simple tactics for finding untapped keywords that your competition doesn’t know about.
1. Google Suggest: First on the list is our good old fashioned Google search. To use this tactic, all you need to do is search for the topic in the search field. But don’t press enter.
Instead, take a look at the keywords that Google suggest for you. These are usually awesome long tail keywords that you can go after.
Also try putting a few spaces before your keyword. This will show you a completely different set of keyword ideas.
2. Quora: Second on the list is the famous Quora where a massive community of people ask and answer questions on every topic under the sun.
All you need to do is search for your topic in Quora and see which keywords tend to show up.
3. Reddit: Third on the list is Reddit, a massive community of people that discuss every topic you can imagine from pets to politics. Search for your topic on Reddit and open any thread and keep an eye out for words and phrases that tend to come up again and again. You can find some of the best keyword ideas here.
4. Google Search Related to: To use this, head over to Google and simply type your topic into Google. Then scroll to the bottom of the results. Google will then show you other searches that are related to the keyword you just put in.
These are usually excellent long tail keywords that you can target with your content.
5. Wikipedia: Last on the list is our own Wikipedia. There you can find in-depth articles on every topic. To use Wikipedia just head over to Wikipedia and type in your topic. Then take a look at other entries that article links to. These are usually closely related topics and even potential keywords themselves.
Also, make sure to check out the table of contents for the entry. Again, these are usually keywords that are closely tied to your topic.
Now that you have a list of potential keywords, it’s time to choose the best from your list. How? By analyzing each keywords’ commercial intent.
Analyze Keywords Commercial Intent:
Now it’s very much possible that you get tons of traffic by using above tactics. But can you guarantee that just by getting traffic, your sales will also increase? You can’t monetize any traffic you want.
That’s why you have to pay very close attention to a keyword’s Commercial Intent. Here’s how to find out if your keyword has a high commercial intent or not.
First, head over to Google Keyword Planner and type in your potential keywords. Then take a look in the Suggested Bid Column. This shows you how much advertisers are spending in Adwords for a single click from this keyword.
Obviously, higher the suggested bid the more valuable that keyword is. Another simple way to size up commercial intent is to see how many Adwords Ads appear when you search for your keyword in Google.
If you search for your keyword and see lots of Adwords ads then naturally it means people are spending a lot on that particular keyword. Okay, it’s time to look at each keyword search volume.
Search Volume & Keyword Intent:
There are many free tools which you can use to find out exact search volumes for a given keyword. Here are some tools you can use for free:
1. SEMrush: To find a keyword search volume, simply type the keyword into SEMrush and they’ll show you how many searches that keyword gets every month.
2. KWFinder: Again, just put your keyword in the tool and you’ll see the exact amount of searches it gets every month.
Now that we’ve talked about keywords search volume… Let’s take a look at what we should do if we have two similar keywords that have similar search volume and commercial intent and you don’t know which one to pick.
Google Trends is the tool you can use for this purpose. Just put both of your keywords and notice the growth of both them and pick the one that is growing.

Stick with me till the end of this post and I will surely make you understand Why facebook groups are special and How they can help you in getting thousands of real targeted visitors with zero investment and longer results.
Let’s begin and understand the process step by step:
Step #1. Log In to your Facebook profile.
Step #2. Search for Groups: Use the search bar on top and enter the keywords of your niche.
For example, if your blog is about online marketing then search the term “online marketing”.
Press the search icon or just hit enter and you’ll see a list of pages and groups related to online marketing.
Click on Groups tab to get a complete list of groups related to the searched keyword.
Step #3. Join groups: Now click on the “Join” button and join as many groups as you can related to your blog niche.
With “online marketing” keyword, search for similar terms and join those groups also.
For example: you can search for following terms if your niche is online marketing…
- online marketing group
- online marketing India (replace India with your country)
- group online marketing
- online marketing business
- online marketing experts
Join groups with at least 1000 members. There are many groups on facebook for every single topic you can imagine.
But still, it is possible that for some blog niche there are fewer groups as compared to popular keywords. In that case, join the groups with even less than 1000 members.
Now some groups can ask you some questions before approving your Join request. You need to answer those questions sincerely because those groups will have some really targeted members and you can leverage those members for your benefit in future.
Step #4. Wait: You have to wait for some time now as groups admin will have to accept your joining request. This will take a day or two and usually, most of the group admins will accept your joining request…

Try to put some text on Image also as it will make easier for the users to understand what is in the post you are sharing with them. The standard size of the image for Facebook is 1200 by 630 pixels.
Just paste the link to your post in the “Write post” box and the image with the title will automatically come up. Delete the link and click on the “Post” button.
If you want you can also set a featured image only for facebook through Yoast plugin.
Just upload the image on the Facebook Image tab.
You can change the title of your post also. To do this just type your Title on “Facebook title” box and this title will appear when you will share this post on facebook groups.
NOTE: Share only those posts in the groups which you think will provide value and help the group members.
Traffic into Leads, Leads into Sales and Sales into Revenue…
Now you will see traffic coming through the groups and those visitors will be genuinely interested in your blog.
Now it’s up to you to convert:
The traffic, into leads.

As you probably know that Google tends to rank sites higher in search results based on the authority of that site.

On April 24, 2014, Google launched the Google Penguin algorithm, and this changed everything about link building. Today, link building is much more of a skill, and it takes time to get it right.
The popularity of a website can be determined by the number of inbound links to that site.
In fact, Google has recently said that backlinks are one of their top 3 ranking signals.
Bottom line? If you want more search engine traffic, link building is a must.
And that’s why I have created this guide to top 5 proven link building strategies for you by which you can create quality links.
1. The Skyscraper Technique:
This term is coined by Brian Dean of Backlinko and this technique is a content-driven link building technique.
Here are basic three steps of this technique:
- First, find a “Proven linkable asset” meaning an existing piece of content in your niche that already has a lot of links.
- The second step is to make an improved version of it.
- The last step is to promote your content and tell people about it.
Now, this is the question most beginners ask: How can you actually use this?
So let’s understand it more deeply so you can understand how to really use this technique to drive more traffic and build links for your website.
STEP 1: Find “Existing Proven Linkable Asset”
“Proven linkable asset” can be defined as an existing piece of content that has already performed well and generated lots of links.
The proven linkable asset could be an infographic, a video, blog post or any other form of content.
It’s content so awesome, so incredible, and so useful that people can’t help but login to their WordPress dashboard and add a link to your site.

You can look at this Guide by MOZ on Social Media as an example:
Ahrefs showed that it has 20,700 links from over 1210 referring domains. Now, this is something you can call as Linkable Asset.
Now I will tell you how you can find linkable assets in your niche easily:
1. Use Ahrefs: First, find a popular blog or website in your industry that tends to generate a lot of useful and great content. I will take Moz.com as an example to explain you.
Then go to Ahrefs site explorer and paste the URL: Then select “Best by Links” in the Pages section in the left-hand menu. Now, you will see a list of all the pages on the domain ordered by the number of backlinks (highest to lowest).
Export pages with at least 50 links (RD column). These are the “Proven Linkable Assets”.
2. Use Buzzsumo: Enter keywords related to your niche.
You will see a list of most shared content in your niche. Export all of the pages into a spreadsheet.
STEP 2: Make an Improved Version
Now there are some things which you can do to improve the existing content.
- Make your Content Longer
- Improve the design
- Make your content more up-to-date
- Make it more through
Important Note: I recommend that you beat the existing content on every level: length, design, current information etc.
Choose the piece of content that you think you can improve it in at least two of the ways listed above.
Now just create an improved version and publish it on your website.
STEP 3: Now tell the Right People about your content
Now it’s time to promote your content. This is the most important step of “The Skyscraper Technique”.
You’re going to promote your content by email outreach method.
It’s important to understand here that you will promote your content only to those people who fulfill the following criteria:
- People who run a site in your niche
- People who are interested in your topic
- And who have linked to a similar piece of content
Here’s how to do it:
1. Use Ahrefs to find all of the links pointing to your competitor’s content and export it into a spreadsheet.
You can also use Open Site Explorer or Majestic SEO for this purpose.
Click on Backlinks in the left-hand menu and then select Export to export all of the links.
2. Remove those websites that don’t make any sense to contact like forums and directories etc.
Reach out to remaining sites using the following template:
I was just reading your post about [TOPIC] and noticed you linked to this page: [INSERT LINK]
Just wanted to let you know that I just published an updated, more in-depth version of this page.
Here it is: [INSERT LINK]
Might make a nice addition to the page?
Now you may think that you will not get many links by this method, but you will get quality links and here quality of links matter more than the quantity of links.
There is so much potential in this strategy for your site.
2. Guest posts:
Guest posting is when you write a blog post for a site other than your own such as a leading industry blog. This helps you in link building and to gain exposure for your brand.
Many blogs accept Guest posts and you can put a link back to your site in the “author’s bio” section.
Here’s how you can do guest posts:
- First, find guest posts opportunities in your niche.
- Reach out to the blog owner.
- Write great post
- Send your post to the blog owner and get your link in return.
Now to find guest post opportunities you can use Google, just type
INDUSTRY + “guest posts” OR YOUR NICHE + “guest posts” OR NICHE + “write for us”
Just replace industry and niche with your specific niche and you will get the results.
To reach out to them, just use good old email let them know the topic of the post on which you want to write.
Here’s a template for your reference:
I’m [Your Name], and I run a blog: [Blog Name].
I am a regular reader of your blog and I was wondering if accept guest post or not, as I had an idea for a post that I feel would be perfect for your site.
Basically, I was thinking of something [Insert Your Post Title], where I’d discuss [Give a Brief of Your Post].
Would you be interested?
NOTE: Don’t forget to include your author bio when you are sending the post.
3. Create Link Roundups:
I know many people try to target for link roundups but you should know that you can also create your own link roundups too.
Link roundups are a link builder’s dream. They are simply weekly (or sometimes daily) curations of your industry’s best content.
Link roundups generally gather a lot of inbound links as they are essentially curated content.
Here’s how to do it:
- Curate some content (best content of the week/month/year)
- Create your “roundup” post
- Promote it
Now it’s easy to create a link roundup but it should provide great value to your readers otherwise it will be of no use.
After you’ve published your link roundup… Start promoting it. You can promote is to:
- People mentioned by you: Reach out to everyone you’ve mentioned in your post. They may link back to you or at least they will promote the post on social media.
- Reach out to influencers in your niche and let them know about your roundup post.

4. The “Ranking for Links” Technique:
This technique is simple yet very effective. You can get hundreds of backlinks and mentions with this “Ranking for Links” tchnique.
For this, you have to create a piece of content that specifically target keywords that people in your niche are most likely to type into Google when searching for content to reference.
Bloggers and Journalists often search Google for reference when they write articles and they naturally link back to it as long as the reference is reputable.
Here, take this Action Plan to use this technique:
- Find a niche specific informational search query that bloggers may search for when looking for references
- Create a piece of content that fulfills the search criteria
Find initial query keywords by simple brainstorming session… “List of”, “What is”, “How to” etc. are some keywords with which you can start.
Initially, you have to create few links to your content using other techniques to get a good ranking in the search results.
Don’t go for super competitive keywords as you’ll struggle to rank initially.
Once your content starts showing up in the first 1-5 search results of your chosen keyword, you will see links naturally coming in each month.

5. Reverse Image Search (Link Reclamation):
If you have images on your website (which almost everyone does have) then you own the copyright to those images.
Now its most probably that others are republishing your images without your permission.
And most of the times, these websites use your images and they don’t even link back to your website as the original source.
You can use reverse image search technique and reach out to them asking to credit you with a link you deserve.
Here’s how you can use this technique:
- Collect all images on your site that you’ve created
- Simply perform a reverse image search for every image
- Reach out to those republishing your images without linking back to you
Do reverse image search for every
- Infographic you’ve made
- Illustrations you’ve created
- Flow/Pie charts
- Photographs you’ve made or own copyright to
Make note of every website using your images without linking back and reach out to them from the contact page or just email them.
